Trusted Minds Therapy

Welcome, my name is Catherine Crosby

I am a Mental health professional  educated to degree level with a level 5 teaching qualification and a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I specialise in working with adults, families and couples to navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions.

My approach is based on empathy and respect, and I specialise in integrating talking therapy with a range of therapeutic modalities, offering a personalised approach for your individual needs. This is particularly effective for those dealing with deep-seated emotional pain, anxiety and trauma, providing tools and insights that bring relief, and restore a sense of balance back in your life.

Counselling can assist with a variety of issues and challenges, I offer support as you work through challenging times, to gain insight into your emotional state and the difficulties you're encountering, giving you the opportunity to explore and reflect. I offer techniques and strategies to help you cope more effectively and navigate life’s challenges.

You choose how we work together, I offer single sessions for specific issues within a fixed timeframe or open-ended counselling meeting weekly for sessions which allows the therapeutic process to unfold at your pace. We can meet face-to-face in my therapy room for our sessions, or meet outside for walk-and-talk therapy, or online, to suit your lifestyle, making it easy to access help wherever you are in the UK or living and working abroad.

I am passionate about supporting individuals within culturally diverse communities and promoting inclusivity in my practice, where everyone feels respected, affirmed and heard.

Testimonials

"Catherine is an empathetic and skilled therapist who creates a warm and non-judgmental space for her clients to explore and grow. Her person-centred approach fosters deep self-awareness and empowers individuals to navigate their challenges with resilience and authenticity. Catherine's genuine care and ability to connect on a human level make her a trusted and highly effective practitioner. She is deeply committed to supporting her clients on their journey toward healing and self-discovery."

"It wasn't easy but our last session opened my eyes and helped so much, I feel like you literally saved my life."

"I have been working with Catherine for a very long time now, and I honestly feel I always will!  She has helped me process heavy childhood trauma that I thought would always plague me. Perhaps it will, but when it rears its ugly head now it no longer floors me. She has helped me grow to love myself, accept who I am flaws and all, and I now speak to myself with respect, understanding and kindness (most of the time!) We have had crisis sessions where I thought I could no longer go on and ‘maintenance’ sessions that I didn’t even know I needed! Having experienced years and years of therapists, CBT, hypnosis and everything in between, I have finally found something/someone that works. So very grateful for Catherine."

"Catherine is a compassionate and skilled therapist who creates a safe, empathetic environment for her clients. Her dedication to continuous learning and her calm demeanour inspires trust, making her an excellent choice for those seeking support on their mental health journey."

"I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else, you’ve changed my life, Catherine."
